When you contact Ibogaine Retreat Australia, an intake specialist will promptly set up an email interview with you. In this interview, we will gather your general medical history, details about the condition you wish to treat, and a list of any medications you are currently taking or have taken in the last month, as well as any medical conditions you are being treated for. We will be in touch after this initial assessment to address any questions you may have as your treatment date approaches. We recognize that this can be a stressful time for you and your loved ones, and we’re here to support you every step of the way.

Pre-care and aftercare are essential components of the ibogaine treatment process. Our unique pre-care involves two remote sessions with our licensed therapists before your admission.
Cost Breakdown
Our ibogaine detox program usually lasts 10 days and costs $10,000. If you use Cocaine addiction, crystal methaddiction, Opioid Addiction heroin addiction, alcohol addiction, methadone addiction, or buprenorphine addiction, or fentanyl addiction, that need careful tapering, you may need a longer program, which will cost more. Please ask us about extended programs if needed. People with mental or neurological health issues and ongoing substance use must join our 10-day program and cannot enroll in a shorter one.

Making a Reservation
To secure your reservation at our treatment facility, please make your initial payment. Once we confirm your reservation, you can book your flight to Melbourne International Airport, or it might be easier if you are already in Melbourne. Before you arrive, we will send you instructions on how to get from the airport to the clinic. A representative from a transfer company will meet you at the airport and take you to our center.
Your stay with us usually lasts 10 days, and we will confirm your schedule before you arrive. Family and friends can visit you, but you must follow certain rules, which we will explain during the intake process.
We have accommodation only for patients, and you must stay with us for the entire treatment period.
Please remember, we cannot start treatment until we receive full payment, so we recommend transferring the complete amount soon after you arrive to avoid any delays.
If you are arranging treatment for someone else, we need to talk directly with that person before we can confirm their place in our program.
Some medications may interfere with ibogaine treatment, so it is important for patients to stop these medications before arriving in Melbourne.
Day 1
Arrival
Traveling internationally or domestically can be stressful. We recommend arriving on a morning or early afternoon flight. This will give you time to relax for the rest of the day. The first days of the program will focus on stabilization and preparation for ibogaine treatment. If you’re dependent on opioids, we will transition you to a short-acting opioid to lessen withdrawal symptoms. Our healthcare team will monitor you and adjust treatments as needed.
When you check into our treatment facility, you will sign consent forms for medical care and privacy agreements. A physician will review your medical history and current condition, explain what to expect in the coming days, and answer any questions you have.
You must give us your medications, passport, and cash for safekeeping. This ensures your safety, as ibogaine may affect your decision-making. Staff will search your belongings for drugs or dangerous items, but you can keep your electronic devices.
Day 2-4
Stabilization and Preparation
During these days, our medical team will manage withdrawal symptoms and assess your health to customize your ibogaine treatment for the best results. Your safety is our top priority. We will conduct an EKG, and perform blood and urine tests for a complete health evaluation. Our cardiologist will also do an ultrasound of your heart. Our medical team will decide whether to proceed with treatment and any necessary changes to your dose.
During these days, our therapists and support staff will help you set your intentions and goals for after treatment. You will take part in activities like yoga, stretching, and massages to prepare mentally, physically, and spiritually for your treatment day. These activities will also promote relaxation and well-being.
Day 5
Treatment Day
Your treatment starts at 9:00 A.M. You will be in a comfortable and calming room. Our skilled nurses will set up your IV, connect you to a heart monitor, and give you Dramamine to help prevent nausea as the ibogaine starts to take effect. You will take ibogaine HCl in capsule form on an empty stomach, with the dose based on your weight and other relevant factors.
About an hour after taking ibogaine, you may feel sensations like tingling or warmth, and you might hear sounds like buzzing or humming. Soon, you may experience vivid visions, which can be intense but are often therapeutic. While some visions may bring back painful memories, they are usually seen as helpful for understanding yourself and accepting your past. This vision phase typically lasts 3-5 hours.
After the visions fade, you will enter a processing stage. This is a deep thinking period meant to help you deal with issues related to your substance or behavioral addiction. This stage can last anywhere from 12 to 36 hours. You will stay in the treatment room for 8 hours after taking ibogaine, allowing you to return to your own room for a good night’s rest.

Day 6
Integration and First Maintenance Dose
On Day 6, you may get your first maintenance dose of ibogaine. This will be given no less than 24 hours after the flood dose. This dose will not cause visions, and you will only need to be monitored for a few hours afterward.

While ibogaine has immediate effects, its long-term benefits come from the brain changes that happen in the 4-6 weeks after taking it. Ongoing therapy is important to make the most of these positive effects. This is subject to medical approval.
Days 7-9
Further Integration and Additional Ibogaine Doses
During these days, we will focus on further integration and giving additional ibogaine doses as needed. We treat conditions like substance abuse that can cause imbalances in brain chemistry, which may take several days to stabilize. Ibogaine helps with withdrawal symptoms, but some patients may still feel discomfort or lingering withdrawal effects during this time.
Remember, ibogaine treatment is a process, not just a one-time event. Many patients notice gradual improvement in the days following the flood dose, rather than immediate results. Return Home
